Auburn Skate has a beautiful maple floor, excellent sound system, and friendly staff. It's been in continuous operation since 1965 and a vital part of the Auburn community.
Josh and Erin Rhoads purchased Auburn Skate in 2015 and Southgate Roller Rink in 2011.
Josh has had an extensive career in Artistic Roller Skating, winning many National titles, as well as competing at the Pan American Games, World Cup, and World Championships for 13 consecutive years.
Both rinks are fun places to skate!

Auburn Skate was called Hillside Roller Palace when built by Jack Wadkins in 1965. Brothers Ron, Rick, and John Gustafson bought the rink from Wadkins in 1973, renaming it Melody Skating Center.
They later changed it to Auburn Skate Connection to reflect its commitment to the community.
John operated the rink for 42 years.
He is in the Roller Skating Hall of Fame at the Museum of Roller Skating in Lincoln, Nebraska, an honor befitting a lifetime of contribution to roller skating.
He became the first skater to pass the difficult Gold Medal tests in all five disciplines--Speed, Freestyle, Figure, American Dance, and International Dance, showing mastery in all.
He has many National titles and has been an official at a world championship, as well as a world team manager and world team coach.
John Gustafson is a beloved contributor to roller skating in Washington State and throughout the United States.
The Gustafson brothers grew up roller skating. Each has won National titles. Ron Gustafson serves on the Northwest Roller Skating Foundation, an organization that supports competitive roller skating in the Pacific Northwest.

Josh and Erin keep the Speed and Artistic Skating traditions alive and well at Auburn Skate.
They carry the mantel onward as their two skating rinks offer a wide spectrum of skating enjoyment.
Whether it's recreational skating, skating to live music, derby skating, speed skating or artistic skating, generations will continue to enjoy the roll and glide.
Thank you, Josh and Erin Rhoads.
